MLA Candidate Responses

BC Election 2026

As part of the upcoming BC Election on October 24th, we are asking candidates from the Victoria-Beacon Hill and Oak Bay-Gordon Head ridings to answer the following three questions & responses will be shared below.

1/If elected, how would you ensure that community-based organizations like FGCA have a meaningful, ongoing voice in provincial decision-making, particularly when it comes to planning for community needs, services and infrastructure in growing neighbourhoods like Fairfield and Gonzales?

2/What concrete steps would you take to ensure that neighbourhood organizations like FGCA have stable, multi-year provincial funding that keeps pace with inflation, population growth and local needs, so we can sustain essential services and respond to emerging needs in our community?

3/What specific commitments would you make to expand access to affordable, high quality childcare, including more $10aDay spaces, while ensuring that non-profit providers like FGCA have the funding, facilities and workforce support needed to deliver sustainable childcare in Victoria?
