The foyer, in the main building at Fairfield Community Place, serves as gallery space with the intention of displaying artwork from local artists. Since its inception in 2014, colourful paintings, pictures and installations have decorated the centre’s walls. We strive to feature artists who align with the FGCA’s organization values.

We are looking for local artists to fill our walls at the Fairfield Community Place in 2026! Exhibit durations are 2-months at a time. Apply to show your work with us:

Current Exhibition

Hosted by our very own Moss Rock Preschool, this installation shares a 6-month living inquiry that began when a large Garry Oak tree fell in Porter Park. This exhibition invites you into our learning.

You will find children's sketches of the many ways they imagined the tree falling, pedagogical narration tracing how our thinking with the tree evolved over months, photographs and quotes that showcase the children's observations and questions, and much more!

We invite you to witness how young children learn with the land, with one another, and with the more-than-human world!
