Art at the Place
Current Exhibition
Holly Vivian layers vibrant colours, flowing and circular structures, and influences from the natural world to provide an invitation to curiosity and an antidote to urban hollowness. She draws upon rich emotional and sensory landscapes to bring shape and form to the intangible.
Vivian earned her diploma of Theatre Technology and Design from Red Deer College and has spent the subsequent two-plus decades immersed in the wonders of nature, the visual delights of art, the physical expression of dance, the storytelling of theatre, and the rhythms of music.
Equally animated as a solitary kayaker exploring remote islands and an urban community builder thriving on the energetic connectedness of artists of all types, she divides her time between sea (a tiny 23’ sailboat with an inflatable kayak, roaming the Pacific Northwest with her husband) and land (downtown Victoria, BC, Canada on traditional Lekwungen territory.)
